Yokoyama not only created the Tetsujin 28 manga, anime, and live-action film, but also Giant Robo and Sally the Witch. The city reports that 500,000 have visited the neighborhood with the statue since it opened on October 4. 5,000 sheets of limited-edition Kobe Tetsujin Project stamps will be sold starting on November 27. This is pretty old news but worth a mention if you guys aren’t aware of it, seems like Lucky Star’s Izumi family is now registered as official residents in Satte, Tokyo in Japan. The registration will take place on Jan 3, 2010 and manga creator, Yoshimizu Kagami will be drawing a special certificate of residency for them. Aww…so sweet. On a sidenote, the lifesize statue Tetsujin-28 in Kobe gets a certificate too. ^^||| Size doesn’t matter, do they ? The ceremony took place yesterday. Source
